Who we are

Bangladesh grows a great deal and processes comparatively little of it for export. Produce leaves the country raw, or does not leave at all — a significant share of horticultural output is lost between the field and the market for want of anywhere to dry, store or stabilise it.

Almekora Agro exists to take one part of that gap seriously. We source agricultural produce from Chuadanga and the surrounding districts, process it locally to extend shelf life and add value, and supply the result to buyers who would otherwise be sourcing from origins several thousand kilometres away.

We are at the beginning of this. The facility is not built. We have not shipped an order. What we do have is a defined product range, a sourcing region we know, and a preference for telling buyers exactly where we stand rather than presenting ourselves as further along than we are.

If you are a buyer evaluating a new origin, that early stage may be a reason to talk to us rather than a reason not to. Specifications are still being set, and there is more room to accommodate a buyer's requirement now than there will be once the line is commissioned.
